 1. Sesquipedalian- adjective

Pronunciation: [ses-kwi-pi-dey-lee-uhn]

Definition: A word having many syllables. A long word.

Used in a sentence: I would often get annoyed by the kids who used verbose language and sesquipedalian words in class in order to impress the teacher.
